Nixon and Obama: A Brief Comparison - Part II

By Bathhouse John for Vox Populi | June 1, 2017 at 12 PM (“High Noon”)

Again, this treatise is a brief comparison of President Richard Nixon and President Barack Obama. Good versus evil. A true leader versus a criminal politician.

I am an Independent Voter. In my opinion, if you want to really change things, you have to vote outside of the corrupt major parties. In no way is this brief treatise wholly complete and accurate. On the other hand, the arguments are sound and backed by available sources. I will say here that President Barack Obama, due to his most discomforting actions as a two- term president - particularly the enslavement of the working taxpayers and their progeny - has breathed new life into one of our most controversial and overlooked presidents: Richard Nixon. How so?

I would argue unequivocally that Obama is certainly the worst president in my lifetime and also one of America's worst period . . . for reasons I will outline below, and Nixon - formerly considered one of our worst - I would now argue unequivocally that Nixon is one of our best presidents . . . in spite of the dirty pall of Watergate which hovers unfairly low over his tenure in office - largely brought on by one of the greatest political hypocrites in American History, Ted Kennedy: cheat, lush, liar, murderer.

But, what’s the deal with Nixon, you ask? Why bother? Simple: President Nixon got a raw deal. Now, I admire President Kennedy, but I postulate that if their looks were reversed, if Nixon looked like Kennedy and vice versa, Richard Nixon would have won the 1960 Election hands down. Think about that for a moment. Nixon was like an Eagle Scout in terms of experience, Kennedy a Webelos, likewise. Without sounding braggadocious, you know I’m right….

So, let’s re-examine Nixon’s efforts as president and compare them to the current “darling of the Left Wing,” Barack Obama. This will certainly enrage the left, but also help to level the playing field, in a crazy, Bathhouse John, sort of way. There are so many wacked out, frankly ridiculous biographies of President Nixon, and likewise of President Obama, only the former’s are typically overly negative and the latter’s are typically overly positive. The works which unduly criticize President Nixon are not even worthy of use as toilet paper for my periodically dirty bum. Let’s square the facts with both presidents.

Here are the ten significant achievements of President Nixon according to the Richard Nixon Foundation Library and Museum, the only presidential library which was originally self funded and did not rely on the taxpayers for its creation…

1/ Ended the draft in 1973.

2/ Helped to establish a conservative crux to the Supreme Court viz-a-viz four appointments.

3/ Signed Title IX into law in 1972 granting women equal rights in collegiate sports.

4/ Promoted and supported the passage of the 26th Amendment which gave 18 year olds the right to vote.

5/ Granted Native Americans self-determination - reversing almost a century of forced assimilation since 1887 - and returned sacred lands to their tribes.

6/ Through his foreign policy of “realpolitik,” sought detente with the USSR including signing the SALT (1972) and ABM treaties limiting nuclear weapons proliferation.

7/ Likewise, sought detente with China as well. Became the first U.S. president to visit same.

8/ Ended the Vietnam War (1973).

9/ In 1973, President Nixon initiated Project Independence, a policy which sought to wean us off of foreign oil.

10/ Provided massive aid to Israel during the Yom Kippur War (1973) which helped to save the isolated Jewish nation from complete defeat.

Here are the ten significant achievements of President Obama according to a statement he released to the public in 2015. I’ll try to type this with a straight face…

1/ Saved the economy from oblivion.

2/ Obamacare.

3/ Placed America on the right side - of climate change debate.

4/ Normalized relations with Cuba.

5/ Iran Nuclear Deal.

6/ Strengthened American resolve against terrorism, specifically ISIS . . . oops, I mean “ISIL.”

7/ Committed us to the Trans Pacific Partnership.

8/ Engineered the “Christmas Miracles in Washington” - budget deal and education overhaul (2015).

9/ Legalization of same-sex marriage.

10/ His close relationship with the American People.

Before we delve into the specific comparisons of these two completely different leaders and their successes and failures, here are two interesting quotes from both President Nixon and President Obama - spoken at the end of each of their administrations...

President Richard Nixon’s Last Remarks in White House, August 9, 1974

“And as I leave, let me say, that is an example I think all of us should remember. We think sometimes when things happen that don’t go the right way; we think that when you don't pass the bar exam the first time -- I happened to, but I was just lucky; I mean, my writing was so poor the bar examiner said, “We have just got to let the guy through.” We think that when someone dear to us dies, we think that when we lose an election, we think that when we suffer a defeat that all is ended. We think, as T.R. said, that the light had left his life forever. Not true. It is only a beginning, always. The young must know it; the old must know it. It must always sustain us, because the greatness comes not when things go always good for you, but the greatness comes and you are really tested, when you take some knocks, some disappointments, when sadness comes, because only if you have been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.” (Hard to believe, but this quote comes from CNN!)

President Barack Obama’s Last Press Conference, January 18, 2017

“This whole notion of voting fraud is something that has been constantly disproved . . . This is fake news . . . The reason that we’re the only country that makes it harder to vote is that it traces exactly back to Jim Crow [and] we've got more work to do on race . . . I think we’re going to see people of merit rise up from every race, faith and corner of the country . . . We’re going to have a woman president, a Latino president, a Jewish president, a Hindu president.”

Now . . . let’s roll up the sleeves and briefly compare the successes and failures of these two leaders. But hold on! I believe that the reader can individually determine the value of the aforementioned successes of each. You can weigh the importance of each on your own. But what about the failures? With the Fakestream Media playing serious favorites, especially with current President Trump, but also with former President Nixon (I would argue Nixon was the first truly good conservative leader to be unfairly attacked by this - for lack of a better term - crooked media machine.), the purpose of this remaining treatise will be to examine these SUCCESSES AND FAILURES and place a value on each.

Richard Nixon (RN): Watergate, without a doubt, is a huge failure for Nixon. Fact is, he tried to cover up - which was standard operating procedure for most politicians then and now - but he, to quote historian Stephen E. Ambrose, “got caught.” The fact is, had Nixon come clean from the beginning, no different than Clinton with the Monica Lewinsky Scandal (1998), he and Clinton would probably have been given “a pass” by the American people. We typically embrace f***ups, but despise liars.

Barack Obama (BO): The first scandal, of many, involved the Fast and Furious Gun Scandal, whereby Obama and his Attorney General at the time, Eric “Constitution?” Holder, tried to cover up the fact that the ATF was allowing certain gun sales to occur to then use the sales as proof that stricter gun laws were needed. In the meantime, federal agents were killed through the sale of these “long guns,” Obama was left holding no bag, and Holder was allowed to keep his job, let alone not be indicted for criminal conspiracy if not felony murder. Where was WAPO, CNN, et al. when all this went down?

I most certainly would put this on the same high shelf as Watergate. But what about Benghazi?

The Benghazi Attack (2012) was perhaps the darkest event in American Foreign Policy since the My Lai Massacre (March 16, 1968). Obama, Hillary Clinton and Susan Rice all played a role in not only misleading the public about the censured massacre of our American diplomatic team in Libya - by blaming it on a Youtube video of all things - but by also downplaying the deaths of our state representatives. Who can forget Clinton’s cold hearted quip about the whole incident, “What difference at this point does it make?”

But, why would Obama, a “mild-mannered pol from the environs of the Southside of Chicago, lead in such a fashion? It’s simple: look at his political persuasion and upbringing. Obama is from Chicago, the most crooked city in the history of the world. Chicago is so crooked it gives Lombard Street in San Francisco a run for its money. The Democratic Nazi Party of America political machine, which runs that city day in and day out and right into the ground - mind you, is the devil incarnate - at least in so far as hardworking taxpayers are concerned. That city is steeped deep in corruption and runs just like Hitler’s Nazi Party of old; there’s no accounting, no morality.

Politics is power - nothing more. The DNPA system is about power - not progress. Welfarization of the economy (Chicago is probably near 60% of its population on the dole) guarantees the greedy Dems (and Repubs who support such craziness) will always have these voters at the beck and call. If I'm a welfare lifer, I "owe" my handlers . . . the Dems.

I strongly believe that California  is the best example of what the DNPA are striving for today. Consider this: Why does the DNPA-dominated statehouse in Sacramento overwhelmingly support Illegal Aliens in all ways, shapes and forms? Because the DNPA truly cares about the plight of these people and their children? NO! It’s all about dirty greed. The DNPA knows that the quickest and easiest way to absolute and eternal power is to grow their base astronomically viz-a-viz Illegal Aliens (who do not have to go through the normal immigration channels) and to secure that base by providing endless freebies to that base: the Welfare Lifers and Illegal Aliens. By throwing my hard earned money and your hard earned money at these two HUGE groups, frankly weeds run amuck in our precarious economic landscape (CA alone houses 1/3 of welfare recipients nationwide), the DNPA is snidely reaching their goal of total dominance; surely they've already done so in the People’s Republic of North Korea . . .oops, I mean California. "But, Illegal Aliens do not vote!" you say? Don't kid yourself. The DNPA-dominated urban machine government's actually thrive on "fixing elections" in their environs.

Consider that President Obama actually encouraged - publically - Illegal Aliens to vote. In my view, that's not only demented and sad, but also treasonous. Now, I’ve stated this before and I’ll state it again: this is about a bad policy, not about a bad people. Illegal Aliens per se are not bad people and I would do exactly what they’ve done to survive. The question is, what country can survive with such a ridiculous and costly immigration policy? His stance on Illegal Immigration is perhaps Obama’s most grievous act, bordering on treason, by the simple harm his action caused our Constitution, or economy and our safety. If in doubt, just ask all of the family members who have lost loved ones due to violence perpetrated by IAs.

RN: Again, without a doubt, the fact the Nixon tried to cover up the Watergate break-in is, beyond any shadow of a doubt, unacceptable and in fact criminal in nature. Not to smooth over his actions, or make light of them, Nixon was only doing what all presidents do: cover things up. Not to get off the subject, but his predecessor, Lyndon Baines Johnson, more than likely was involved, directly or indirectly, with his predecessor's assassination: the murder of JFK. Hard to stomach that, isn’t it? Yet, was Nixon’s actions really as bad as Obama’s?

BO: His Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, met with Bill Clinton on a plane in Phoenix (“by chance”) during the FBI investigation of his wife’s email scandal. Wait! What? Yep. Naturally, the Fleece in Chief tried to downplay the meeting. Without a doubt, Lynch was sent there by Obama to bring Bill Clinton up-to-date on the investigation. Kind of a “pat on the back” and a “Don’t worry about it. We’ll fix it - Chicago-style.” If this doesn’t scream Obama is corrupt, I don’t know what would.

Check this out, like presidents Bill Clinton and JFK, and maybe a lot of other presidents before him, Obama was actually caught up in a sexual scandal with none other than Caroline Kennedy, scion of one of our greatest presidents ever. That’s no s***! (Read this and this!) Remember the time when Michelle Obama gave her "death stare" to her hubby for playing coochy coo with Denmark’s beautiful prime minister during the Nelson Mandela memorial? There are even rumors of his base sexuality. But, let’s say this: Who cares about Obama’s sexual dalliances, but it does go to the core of whether or not he is personally corrupt.

Lest we forget, Obama’s birth certificate, the “Birther Issue.” Frankly, I never believed the story we were told. Obama, were he born here, would have simply supplied the birth certificate back when it became an issue PRIOR TO the 2008 campaign by Hillary Clinton herself. Check out my analysis of this crazy issue here.

Ohh, but Obama’s personal corruption gets better. If he’d misled his wife about his faithfulness to her, why would he be honest to us about his intentions on legislation . . . as with Obamacare? This is perhaps the greatest scam in American history outside of the Kennedy Assassination narrative forced upon us by the Warren Commission. How many people were hurt by this lemon of a law, hardworking taxpayers, everyday people who get up and go to work everyday to provide for their families? Tens of millions to be sure. OCare wasn’t even bantered about as good by the same people who created the filthy law. Remember Jonathan Gruber? He essentially stated that the law was a sham. Hell, even Bill Clinton said OCare was “the craziest thing in the world.”

Yep, Obama is a crook, through and through. Right before he left office, he drained the profits of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to pay for his bloated, pungent healthcare costs. You might want to ask yourself at this point of the treatise, “Why did Obama create Obamacare?” To bolster the Democratic Nazi Party of America’s base constituency, the Welfare Lifers , which includes Illegal Aliens. Prime the pump, your pump, to pay off the DNPA’s main base of support. What do you really expect from a Chicago pol?

RN: Without a doubt, Nixon pursued very cutting edge policies, from detente with the Soviet Union, to establishing diplomatic relations with Communist China, to ending the longest, bloodiest war in our history, Vietnam . . . in spite of the criticisms of the mainstream thinking. Without a doubt, Nixon approached America’s problems from the point of view, “What is best for America - considering the world?” Nixon also appointed several conservative justices to the U.S. Supreme Court which helped to counterbalance the extremely liberal court of the 1950s-60s under Chief Justice Earl Warren. Over all, no one can say Nixon’s competence - unless you read some of the liberal rags which state with very little hard evidence to the contrary -  was ever in question.

BO: But, what about Obama’s competence? Interestingly, I believe Nixon would have appreciated Obama, got along with Obama, mentored Obama - if BO would listen to the sage. But, Obama can’t hold a candle to Nixon's experience, policies, his legacy. We’re talking about a president who recognized, for purely political purposes, a terrorist and racist group, Black Lives Matter, and even allowed this criminal gang (“Pigs in a blanket - fry ‘em like bacon!”) into the White House. Perhaps even worse, rather than speak out against the criminal candidate, Hillary Clinton, Obama supported her for president. I have to say that that action alone calls into question Obama’s competence more than anything else. But, Obama gets better and better, or should I say, worse and worse.

His shackling of our brave border guards and effective dismantling of our southern border led to such a great threat to our country’s immigration process, safety and security, not to mention the heartbreak his actions directly caused victims of illegal immigrant crimes, though most Illegal Immigrants are good people seeking a better life albeit through the breaking of our immigration laws. But, again, we must remember the motivation of Obama and the DNPA: the creation of a “cheese cloth border” is all part of their plan to astronomically increase their base constituency using illegal Immigrants and welfarization of the economy (as is currently occurring in the Golden Fleece State of California)  to massively stimulate votes for the DNPA at the polls, thus eliminating Republicans as any real threat to their absolute power. See Vox Populi's article for an in-depth analysis of same.

What about the national debt? Obama doubled the debt from about ten trillion in 2008 to about 20 trillion in 2017. Granted, President Bush the Younger handed him an economic s*** on a shingle, his massive welfare spending was ill-advised and costly and brought us nothing but more debt. Obama read a biography of FDR during his transition. Unfortunately, it appears he wasn’t able to comprehend it. In effect, Obama has enslaved our children, our children’s children and their children. Folks, this national debt, in fact, cannot ever be paid back. President Trump is correct: we will have to negotiate with our creditors someday soon. Obama competent? I don’t think so.

RN:  Nixon’s unique and historic foreign policy, “What is best for America - considering the world?” still reverberates in the Halls of World History to this day. Dubbed, “realpolitik,” by historians, a German word meaning “politics based upon reality,” Nixon’s detente with the USSR, his opening of diplomatic relations with China, his support of Israel and promotion of nuclear arms treaties, just to name a few successes of Nixon, place this president near the tippy top of all of our greatest presidents - in spite of the Watergate cloud. Nixon’s value to American History is just too great to ignore.

BO: But, what about Obama? His view on world affairs tended to follow the saying, “What is best for the world - in spite of America?” Consider his World Apology Tour in 2009, though so many sources live in denial of the fact. Worse, look at his inept, what I dub, Middle East Goulash Doctrine: Obama allowed Libya's Muammar Gaddafi to be killed, creating a bloody political vacuum that’s still reverberates to this day (check out Louis Farrakhan's interesting view on this); Obama gave Iran, who consider us “The Great Satan,” the go ahead to create nuclear weapons and use them against Iran’s greatest enemy, “The Great Satan” . . . US! I’m sure Israel fits into their goofy plans, too; and Obama allowed Syria to crumble like a cookie in the hands of the terrorists creating even more instability in this fragile part of the world and giving Russia carte blanche control of the region.

The bottom line here is the Nixon’s policies were taxpayer focused, whereas Obama’s were welfare focused.

RN: Consider that Nixon tried to even reform welfare by creating what he called the Family Assistance Plan. The idea was that hardworking Americans who earned a certain level of income or below would receive direct payments from the Treasury to help them survive. Nixon also cut taxes, froze prices when post-Vietnam War inflation hit, and even advocated for energy reliance.

BO: To be blunt, Obama waylaid and robbed the taxpayers, stuffed this tax money into the pockets of the Welfare Lifers/Illegal Alien classes and in the process doubled our national debt to almost 20 trillion. Perhaps the greatest tax increase in U.S. History, both intrinsically (poor service) and extrinsically (high cost) was, you guessed it, Obamacare. Consider that so many Americans now have s***** coverage, with high monthly costs and high deductibles, but also that all Americans who actually work for a living, now have to suffer through watered down healthcare, what I dub, “Jiffy Lube Healthcare.” Qui bono? Who benefits? Again, the base constituency of the Democratic Nazi Party of America: Welfare Lifers and Illegal Aliens. Obama and his party could care less about you and me. Obama receives an “F-” in this category. Thus endeth this lesson.

RN: It’s no secret that veterans, generally speaking, did like Nixon. My Uncle Gary, a die hard Democrat, once told me, “I love and respected President Nixon, because he ended the Vietnam War.” Yes, Nixon brought “Peace in our time!” to many American veterans and their families.

BO:  It’s no secret that veterans, generally speaking, did NOT like Obama. He was viewed as weak, and in many ways, crippled the American military.

With respect to the popularity polls, I don’t see a hell of a lot of difference statistically between both presidents. In closing, it’s time our 37th president gets the historical recognition he well deserves. Thankfully, President Obama’s poor performance as our worst president has catapulted President Nixon to the top as one of our best presidents; a place Richard Milhous Nixon duly deserves.

Unless you’re an Angry Liberal Voter, Willing Welfare Lifer, 1%er, or just plain stupid, don’t be fooled by the Democratic Nazi Party of America, or their presidential selection, Barack Obama. The globalists are running scared and they’ve sicked their call girls, the Fake Stream Media Outlets, after President Trump and his administration. Yeah, well, Donald J. Trump is no angel but his worst traits are saintly compared to the DNPA’s best. If you don’t take that to the bank, the DNPA will take you to the cleaners - and along for a Chicago-style “one way ride.”

  1. Thank you for the question, Deejay. Not sure what side you're talking about. Both Nixon and Obama had similar scandals...see below. Fact is, this was a brief summary.
